🚀 How do I get started with Hydrate?
  1. Download the app from the App Store
  2. Set your daily hydration goal (default is 2000ml/8 glasses)
  3. Tap the quick-add buttons (250ml, 500ml, 1000ml) or the main "Add Water" button to log your intake
  4. Check your progress throughout the day!
💧 How much water should I drink per day?
The general recommendation is about 2 liters (8 glasses) per day for most adults. However, your needs may vary based on:
  • Your body weight and size
  • Physical activity level
  • Climate and weather conditions
  • Overall health
You can adjust your goal in Settings to match your personal needs.
🏆 How do weekly leagues work?
  • Competition: You're matched with 50 other users for a week-long competition
  • Rankings: Your position is based on total water logged during the week
  • Promotion/Demotion: Top 10 users advance to the next league tier, bottom 10 may drop down
  • League Tiers: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond
  • Weekly Reset: Every Monday at midnight, leagues reset and you get a fresh start
🔔 How do I set up reminders?
  1. Go to Settings (gear icon in top right)
  2. Enable "Notifications" toggle
  3. Set your reminder frequency (every 1, 2, or 3 hours)
  4. Choose your active hours (e.g., 8 AM to 9 PM)
  5. Make sure notifications are enabled in your iPhone Settings → Hydrate → Notifications
Note: Free users get up to 3 reminders per day. Premium users get unlimited reminders.
⏱️ When does my daily progress reset?
Your daily water intake resets automatically at midnight (12:00 AM) each day. Your streak will continue if you met your goal the previous day. Weekly totals for leagues reset every Monday at midnight.
🔥 What happens if I break my streak?
If you don't meet your daily goal, your streak will reset to 0 the next day. Don't worry! You can always start a new streak. Consistency is key to building lasting hydration habits. Remember, it's about progress, not perfection!
📊 Can I see my history?
Yes! Go to the "History" tab at the bottom of the screen to see:
  • Your Progress: Current streak, goals met this week, average ml/day
  • This Week: Visual calendar showing your daily progress
  • Today's Log: All water entries for today
Free users: 7-day history
Premium users: 30-day history with detailed analytics
✏️ Can I edit or delete a water entry?
Premium feature: Premium subscribers can edit or delete water logs in their history. This helps you correct mistakes or adjust entries. To upgrade, tap "Upgrade to Premium" in Settings.

Premium subscription includes:

💳 How do I manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store:
  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Select "Hydrate"
  5. Here you can cancel, change plans, or see renewal date
You can also tap "Manage Subscription" in the Hydrate app Settings.
🔄 How do I restore my Premium purchase?
If you purchased Premium but it's not showing:
  1. Go to Settings in the Hydrate app
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
  4. Wait for confirmation
If this doesn't work, contact support with your Apple receipt.
🔒 Is my data private and secure?
Yes! Your privacy is our top priority:
  • Most data is stored locally on your device
  • We never sell your personal information
  • League usernames can be anonymous
  • All data transmission is encrypted

📱 Does Hydrate sync with Apple Health?
Apple Health integration is coming soon! This will allow you to:
  • Automatically sync water intake to Health app
  • View hydration alongside other health metrics
  • Import water logged in other apps

⌚ Is there an Apple Watch app?
An Apple Watch companion app is in development! You'll be able to:
  • Quickly log water from your wrist
  • See your daily progress at a glance
  • Get haptic reminder notifications

🗑️ How do I delete my account?
To permanently delete your account and data:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll to bottom
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm deletion
Warning: This permanently deletes all your data including history, streaks, and league progress. This cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, cancel it in App Store Settings first.

Troubleshooting

❌ The app isn't tracking my water
Try these steps:
  1. Make sure you're tapping the buttons (they should give haptic feedback)
  2. Check if the circle progress ring is updating
  3. Switch to another tab and back to refresh
  4. Force close the app and reopen
  5. If issue persists, contact support
🔕 I'm not receiving reminders
Check these settings:
  1. In Hydrate: Settings → Enable Notifications is ON
  2. iPhone Settings: Settings → Hydrate → Notifications → Allow Notifications is ON
  3. Make sure it's within your active hours
  4. Check your reminder frequency settings
  5. Restart your phone
📉 My league position isn't updating
Try these fixes:
  1. Switch to another tab, then back to League tab
  2. Pull down on the league screen to refresh
  3. Force close and reopen the app
  4. Check that your water is being logged on Today tab
  5. League rankings may take a few seconds to update
💥 The app crashes or freezes
  1. Force close the app and reopen
  2. Check for app updates in the App Store
  3. Update your iOS to the latest version
  4. Restart your iPhone
  5. Delete and reinstall the app (your data should be preserved if using iCloud backup)
  6. Contact support if problem continues
